This document contains the terms and conditions (Terms and Conditions) governing your use of this Website (www.aecinemas.com.my), mobile application (iOS and Android), your purchase of any movie tickets, goods or services from AE Cinemas Sdn Bhd, (Co. Reg. No. 1305020-V) (“AE Cinemas”) and participation in any contest organized by AE Cinemas on the Website.
You must read, agree with and accept all of the Terms and Conditions contained herein and the Privacy Policy, which include those terms and conditions expressly set out below and those incorporated by reference.
1.1 You agree that your use of the remote sales channels, and the purchase of any movie ticket, goods or services (known as “AE Cinemas Services”) and participation in any contest organized by AE Cinemas on the Website will be governed by the Terms and Conditions contained herewith including the Privacy Policy
1.2 If you do not agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions, please do not use AE Cinemas Services.
2.1. AE Cinemas Services are available only to, and may only be used by individuals who can form legally binding contracts under the law. Without limiting the foregoing, our services are not available to children (persons under the age of 18). If you are under the age of 18, you can use AE Cinemas Services only in conjunction with, and under the supervision of your parents or guardians.
2.2. You are solely responsible for your personal information save that AE Cinemas will use and protect your personal information in accordance with AE Cinemas Privacy Policy. Our current Privacy Policy is available at [Privacy Policy]. You acknowledge that no data transmission over the internet can be completely secure, and AE Cinemas cannot give an absolute assurance that your personal information you provide to us will be secure at all times. If you object to your personal information being used in this way, please do not use AE Cinemas services.
2.3. You acknowledge that if you do not register as a member of this Website, your activity in this Website will be limited. Employees of AE Cinemas and its related bodies corporate are entitled to become members of the Website, but are not entitled to participate in any contests organised by AE Cinemas on the Website.
2.4. Without limiting other remedies, AE Cinemas may at its sole discretion limit your activity, temporarily or indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide AE Cinemas services to you if: (a) you breach any Terms and Conditions hereof or any terms incorporated by reference; (b) we are unable to verify or authenticate any information provided to us which we deemed is requisite and necessary; or (c) we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability to us.
2.5. AE Cinemas may at its sole discretion change some or all of its services at any time. In the event AE Cinemas introduces a new service, it shall be effective on the date expressly stated as the effective launch date of the service.
3.1. ELIGIBLE PERSON
3.1.1. The following persons are allowed to transact on the remote sales channels
3.1.1.1 Any person who is above 18-years of age and owns a valid VISA or MASTERCARD Credit Card is allowed to transact on the remote sales channels.
3.2. MOVIE TICKETS
3.2.1. Movie tickets purchased via remote sales channels are strictly non-refundable and are not available for exchange under whatever circumstances except for technical error such as double paid. You may contact admin@aecinemas.com.my if you facing double paid issue.
3.2.2. A booking fee of RM0.50 will be charged to your credit/debit card on every ticket purchased via our remote sales channel.
3.2.3. Seating for movie ticket purchased via the remote sales channels is available on a "best available" basis which is carried out by a prescribed computer program. Under some circumstances (where you will be notified) you may be allowed to choose your seating (subject to availability). By purchasing movie tickets via this Website and/or the remote sales channels you agree that:
3.2.3.1. save as otherwise allowed to choose your seat (subject to availability), you accept any seat allocated by the computer system in relation to each ticket purchased; and
3.2.3.2. AE Cinemas makes no warranties or representations or undertakings to you that you will be seated at a particular seat, row or section of the relevant cinema.
3.2.3.3. All purchases are transacted in Ringgit Malaysia (RM).
3.2.4. Movie tickets purchased via the remote sales channels will be available for collection at the relevant cinema from either the ticket box (ticketing counter) or ticketing kiosk (where available) by producing the booking numbers.
3.2.5. Movie tickets are made available subject to the classification of the relevant film given by the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia. AE Cinemas has a legal obligation to refuse admission to any person, who in the opinion of its Duty Manager, is under the minimum age required for 18SG, 18SX, 18PA and 18PL classified films (including children in arms). Proof of age may be required in certain instances.
3.3 OTHER GOODS AND SERVICES
3.3.1. Currently no other goods and services except for movie tickets can be purchased via the remote sales channels.
3.4. PAYMENTS
3.4.1. You represent and warrant that (a) any credit information you supply is true and complete; (b) charges incurred by you will be honoured by your credit card
or the financial institution; and (c) you will pay the charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including any applicable taxes.
4.1. You acknowledge and agree that the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the remote sales channels and in all information and materials on this Website ("Website Content") are owned by AE Cinemas, its affiliates, suppliers or licensors unless otherwise expressly indicated.The Website Content is protected by Malaysian and international copyright and trademark laws.
4.2. You agree that you will not do any of the following without AE Cinemas’s written permission:
4.2.1. use AE Cinemas’s trademarks, except for printing out a copy of this Website or as part of a reference to a AE Cinemas product or service;
4.2.2. reproduce, copy, modify, merge, adapt, translate, re-publish, frame, upload to a third party, post, transmit, broadcast, communicate to the public or otherwise make the Website Content available to the public;
4.2.3. transmit or display the Website Content on any computer, system or network which permits electronic access by more than one user at a time;
4.2.4. use, sell, assign, rent, sub-licence or otherwise deal with the Website Content except as permitted by the Terms and Conditions; or
4.2.5. anything else which would infringe AE Cinemas’s rights or the rights of AE Cinemas’s content suppliers.
4.3. You may view this Website using a web "browser" so long as you do not change the form of copyright and other proprietary notices. If you are interested in a piece of content solely for your own personal and non commercial use, you may save a single copy, print one or download one.
5.1. You agree that AE Cinemas may at any time, a its sole discretion, modify:
5.1.1. The Display, look and feel of this website
5.1.2. The Website Content; or
5.1.3. the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, with such modifications shall automatically be effective from the time that they are initially posted on this Website or such date as specifically stated in our notification to be posted on the Website.
5.2. Your use of this Website and AE Cinemas Services following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the Terms and Conditions as changed. 6.2.4. Any goods or services provided by any person who administers or owns any Linked Site; or
6.2.5. The performance of any obligation owing to by any person who administers or owns any Linked Site.
7.1. You agree that in using this Website, you will not:
7.1.1. Use part of this Website reserved for registered members unless you are registered as a member;
7.1.2. Interfere with the usage of this Website by others;
7.1.3. Use this Website in an illegal manner;
7.1.4. 8.2.1. as to the functionality or content of AE Cinemas Services, this Website and the remote sales channels;

8.2.3. That access to this Website and the remote sales channels will be uninterrupted or error free or that the Website or the server which stores and transmits the Website Content to you are free from viruses;
8.2.4. That any links contained on this Website will provide you with any useful information;
8.2.5. That movie tickets to any particular cinema, movie or session will be available for sale to you; and
8.2.6. That content provided on this Website and AE Cinemas Services are applicable or appropriate for use in locations outside of Malaysia.
9.1. Except as provided by law, neither AE Cinemas nor its affiliates nor the officers, directors, employees and agents of AE Cinemas or its affiliates will be under any liability to you, in contract, tort or otherwise, in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage, loss of profits, economic loss or loss of information) which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of:
9.1.1. Your use of this Website and the remote sales channels;
9.1.2. The accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any Website Content or information contained in this Website and the remote sales channels;
9.1.3. Your use of any websites that this Website links to;
9.1.4. Any movie tickets or other goods or services supplied pursuant to the Terms and Conditons; or
9.1.5. Failure of AE Cinemas to comply with its obligations under the Terms and Conditions.
9.2. If you are dissatisfied with this Website or any content on this site, or with the Terms and Conditions, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using AE Cinemas Services. You acknowledge, by your use of AE Cinemas Services, that your use is at your sole risk.
9.3. In the event any applicable law does not allow the limitation of liability set forth above or any part of this limitation on liability is found to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, then the aggregate liability of AE Cinemas under such circumstances for liabilities that otherwise would have been limited and shall not exceed the price you paid for the purchase via the remote sales channels.
10.1. You agree to indemnify and hold AE Cinemas and (as applicable) our parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from any claim or demand (including reasonable solicitors’ fees) made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of the Terms and Conditions or your violation of any law or the rights of any third parties or the use of the Website or remote sale channels.
11.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be construed in accordance with and shall be governed by the laws in force in Malaysia.
11.2. You inrevocably submit to and accept the exclusive jurisdiction of any of the Courts of Malaysia.
